cylinder roll
The cylinder roll is the core processing component of roll carding machines widely used in nonwoven and textile manufacturing. Assembled with multiple rotating roll units covered in dense comb teeth, it grips scattered fibers and arranges them into ordered, aligned structures, while regulating fiber length and fineness to prevent fiber breakage under stretching force.
Its core function lies in thorough secondary carding: it processes fiber bundles peeled off by the licker-in, splitting tangled clusters into independent single fibers. Meanwhile, the cylinder eliminates short lint and foreign impurities, straightens crumpled fibers and realizes even fiber blending before delivering clean, uniform fiber webs to the matched doffer roll.
Manufactured from solid steel, our cylinder rolls provide standard diameters of φ1230mm and φ1500mm, with full custom sizing available. The rotational runout is strictly controlled between 10μm and 20μm to maintain stable vibration-free rotation. As the heart of the carding system, this steel cylinder roll guarantees consistent fiber quality, reduces waste and boosts the stability of continuous nonwoven production lines.
