The Anti-Stick Anvil Roll is a critical component of the thermal bonding calender system used in modern nonwoven production lines. Working directly opposite the heated embossing roller, the anvil roll provides the precise counter-pressure required to bond thermoplastic fibers while maintaining excellent web stability and consistent fabric properties.
During thermal bonding, the fiber web passes through the nip formed by the heated embossing roll and the smooth anvil roll. Heat from the embossing roller softens the thermoplastic fibers, while the anvil roll applies uniform pressure to create permanent bonding points without damaging the surrounding fiber structure. Because the anvil roll is continuously exposed to elevated temperatures and partially molten polymers, its surface must exhibit excellent anti-stick characteristics, wear resistance, and dimensional stability.
